Tom Cruise to play US President in Phillip Noyce thriller

It is reported that Tom Cruise is in talks to play a fictional US President in a new political thriller called ‘28th Amendment’.
The film website Moviehole says that the Phillip Noyce-directed film tells the story of US President Ben Cahill, who discovers that a secret committee (headed by Denzel Washington’s character) has controlled the US government since World War Two.
The committee assassinates those who pose a threat to it, and now Cahill’s life is in danger.
