Remake this DVD: Time After Time

Growing up, I watched Time After Time every chance I could get on HBO. I mean really, what a cool concept; H.G. Wells chasing Jack the Ripper through time…Awesome!

Having recently watched the DVD release of Time After Time, I found the movie, I dunna, lacking. I’m not a big remake fan – but if you can improve on the original concept – go for it.

So take the concept, keep it, but make it more suspenseful and grittier. For Jack the Ripper, cast Alan Rickman or Anthony Hopkins. For H.G. Wells, cast Christian Bale or Ewan McGregor. After their great directing gigs on Harry Potter, get Alfonso Cuarón or Mike Newell to helm the pic.

Hollywood, get on it. And don’t forget my 10 percent and producer credit.

The movie doesnt need to be remade. No one can pull off that role like Malcom McDowell. As for Jack the Ripper, to this very day I can never see David Warner - even in Klingon makeup without thinking Jack The Ripper!!

The scene in McDonalds was CLASSIC.

Why must everything be redone - live with a great 70’s flick and be done with it!
