CaddyshackMore news from High-Def Digest and Warners, the rescheduled ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’ and ‘Caddyshack’ are getting the HD-DVD treatment on August 22. As a male growing up in the ’80s, ‘Caddyshack’ is a fav next to ‘Stripes’ and ‘Meatballs.’ But really, will ‘Caddyshack’ on HD-DVD be any improvement over standard DVD? I mean, c’mon, unless they go back to the original source, this should basically look the same. Right?

Adding another three titles to its growing HD DVD library, Warner Home Video will release ‘Good Night, and Good Luck,’ ‘Caddyshack’ and ‘The Searchers’ on August 22.

All three titles will be presented in 1.78:1 widescreen and 1080p video, and include Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 surround tracks (except ‘The Searchers,’ which will be available in its original 1.0 mono only).
