This Sony Pictures Classics film, which won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and was an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival, will be released on Blu-ray™ High-Def and DVD on October 14, 2008. Standard Operating Procedure will be available for an SLP of $38.96 for Blu-ray and $28.96 for DVD. The special features on the DVD and Blu-ray will include nine new additional scenes and a commentary with Director Errol Morris. In addition, special features, exclusive to Blu-ray, include nearly two hours worth of new interview footage, the Berlin panel discussion and press conference and the Los Angeles Premiere Q & A.
Director Errol Morris describes Standard Operating Procedure as an investigation to discover what actually happened “outside the frame” of the infamous Abu Ghraib photographs. To that end, Errol Morris compiled over a million-and-a-half words of transcript, over thirty interviews, tens of thousands of pages of documents, and over a thousand photographs. His conclusion was that “the Abu Ghraib photos serve as both an expose and a coverup.”

Now, come inside and see the true story of the men and women who crossed the thin line between interrogation and torture.
